A Dynamic Image Reconstruction Method with Spatio-Temporal Constraints

چکیده
We introduce here a temporally constrained image reconstruction algorithm for fast dynamic imaging of the spatial distribution of tissue parameters such as oxy-hemoglobin, HbO2, or deoxy-hemoglobin, Hb, and their derived parameters, e.g., HbT or StO2. An unknown spatial-temporal distribution of the tissue parameter is represented by a combination of basis functions where bases are predefined and their coefficients are unknown. The performance of the new algorithm is evaluated using experimental studies with dynamic imaging of vascular disease in foot. The results show that the temporally constrained algorithm leads to 26fold acceleration in the image reconstruction as compared to more traditional methods that have to reconstruct all time frames data sequentially.

Localized spatio-temporal constraints for accelerated CMR perfusion.
PURPOSE To develop and evaluate an image reconstruction technique for cardiac MRI (CMR) perfusion that uses localized spatio-temporal constraints. METHODS CMR perfusion plays an important role in detecting myocardial ischemia in patients with coronary artery disease. Breath-hold k-t-based image acceleration techniques are typically used in CMR perfusion for superior spatial/temporal resolutio...
متن کاملPLR-TV: patch-based low rank with spatio-temporal total variation constraints for ungated myocardial perfusion CMR
Background Ungated myocardial perfusion is a promising alternative for simplifying CMR protocols [1]. Spatio-temporal total variation (TV) constrained reconstruction with radial undersampling was used in a pilot study [2]. And TV constraints combined with a low-rank constraint have shown improvement in some cases for gated perfusion imaging [3]. However, the temporal total-variation constraint ...
متن کاملA Proposal of Spatio-Temporal Reconstruction Method Based on a Fast Block-Iterative Algorithm
Parametric images can help investigate disease mechanisms and vital functions. To estimate parametric images, it is necessary to obtain the tissue time activity curves (tTACs), which express temporal changes of tracer activity in human tissue. In general, the tTACs are calculated from each voxel’s value of the time sequential PET images estimated from dynamic PET data. Recently, spatio-temporal...
متن کاملاستفاده از POD در استخراج ساختارهای متجانس یک میدان آشفته آماری- همگن
Capability of the Proper Orthogonal Decomposition (POD) method in extraction of the coherent structures from a spatio-temporal chaotic field is assessed in this paper. As the chaotic field, an ensemble of 40 snapshots, obtained from Direct Numerical Simulation (DNS) of the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky (KS) equation, has been used. Contrary to the usual methods, where the ergodicity of the field is need...
متن کاملBeyond Low Rank + Sparse: Multi-scale Low Rank Reconstruction for Dynamic Contrast Enhanced Imaging
PURPOSE: Dynamic Contrast Enhanced (DCE) MRI is a powerful method that can provide comprehensive information to characterize lesions. High temporal resolution is often desired for 3D DCE, but at the cost of lower spatial resolution. Low rank / partial separable methods offer an effective way of balancing this tradeoff by exploiting spatio-temporal correlations of dynamic images. However, existi...
